 Being a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) means more to me than just helping people buy and sell houses. Many factors need to be considered when helping empty nesters find their Active Adult Community.   

Plans for our retirement years look very different these days. Some active retirees are looking for their adult children to move in with them (meaning potentially an up-sized home with a bedroom on the main floor).  Others are looking to downsize their next home (with less maintenance and upkeep), while some seniors are looking to move for other reasons entirely, such as taking care of grandchildren, pursuing a hobby or later-in-life new career. Health and financial concerns are always key factors in future home purchases. Did you know that people generally move three times after the age 55?

Georgia has been my home for 16 years. Along with my husband, twin boys and dogs, we spend a lot of time enjoying what this great area has to offer. From the lake to the mountains and the city of Atlanta, we still love to explore and discover new hidden adventures. My kids have gone to local schools and we are involved in many community activities.  My mother recently moved into a 55+ community in Hoschton and it’s improved her quality of life substantially.

My background is in Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Change Management and Communications. I have owned and sold an IT company and project-managed IT deployments to 45,000 users in multiple languages. I have enjoyed running companies and consulting for other Fortune 500 companies, and I’ve brought that experience to my work in real estate.

I strongly believe that working with a SRES is very important. I have had specialized training and I stay up on issues affecting Seniors housing. I also have a network of businesses that provide services that may come in handy as different events happen in your life and with your home.
